From 1994 Atomic Weapons Establishment
Divisions at the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment were instructed to pass their files to the archives in 1959 for review by Air Commodore Rowley and Mr R E France. Contrary to approved practice, several files were merged into one subject file so that duplicate papers could be identified and destroyed. It follows that the files in this series are not original 'working' files, but amalgamations from two or more sources.
