Description

Folio 118: Principal merchants of the Lisbon Factory to Earl of Holdernesse. Asking for H.M. government to intervene effectively to stop the Portuguese from trying to prevent the exportation of contraband gold, as instanced by the recent seizure of a large amount from an officer of H.M.S. Lime, belonging to a member of the Factory.
