Folio 26: Consul Maynard to [Joseph Williamson]. Conclusion of the peace between Spain and Portugal to the great joy of the vast majority. Uncertain how the King will be deposed by the Cortes. Queen's nullity suit making slow progress. In view of the complaints being made against him by some of the merchants, hopes no decision will be taken until he has been heard in his own defence.
