The acting-consul is `a Scottsman the Inquisitors' servant' but he was only appointed by King of Spain pro tem. King Philip still here, to the great pleasure of the Portuguese, but Spaniards are impatient for him to return to Madrid. Portuguese privileges confirmed, and oath of loyalty taken to his son and successor. Naval and shipping news.
