Description

Folio 198: Wich to Carteret. Letter received via Count Burhl from Villiers with news of Peace concluded between Dresden and Vienna on 11 Sept. King of Poland's accession to Treaty of Breslau will weigh with Russia. Neuhaus has not had audience with Czarina as Russian ministers have raised difficulties over title. This will convince him that de la Chetardie misinformed him. Swedish ship run ashore at Libau in Courland. Officers to be seized if they have no passes from Field Marshal Lacy. Dated Moscow, 20 Sept 1742.
