Folio 186: Wich to Carteret. Have prevailed upon Lestock to write a letter of thanks, but original in my hands. Necessity to regulate his pension and give 6 months advance. Misunderstanding between him and Brothers Bestuzev, now reconciled and will not oppose each other in anything concerning HM's interest, but jointly support any proposals made in his service. More about accession to treaty of Breslau and succession at Diet in Sweden. Czarina wants HM's to concur with her in this affair. Naryskin will soon receive instructions, on this matter. As Czarina adamant to carry it through we should seem to agree to gain her confidence, and detach her from France. King of Poland continues to press Russian count to obtain some advantage from Queen of Hungary. Dated Moscow, 16 Sept 1742.
