Folio 153: Finch to Harrington. When shown separate article count Osterman laid it aside saying Turkish affairs engaged him. Reminding him of his impatience occasioned by delays of HM's journey I suggested that if he now would not exchange ratifications I would have nothing else to do but take my audience of leave. Then he said he would have the pieces translated, unnecessary procedure as Grand Duchess, Prince and Count Golovkin all understood French and only great chancellor a cypher would need a translation. Count Lynar received copy of letter from King of Poland to HM revealing that the Russian troops marching to assist Queen of Hungary, depended on arrival of English squadron here. Only difference from mine is the language - his in German, mine in English. He has prepared pro-memoria for Osterman. Dated St Petersburg, 25 July 1741.
