Folio 151: Harrington to Finch. HM cannot alter decision already made on sending squadron to Baltic. We believe French have no intention of sending one this year. If they do and join up with a Swedish one, our force, stipulated in the treaty, would perforce have to be greater; difficult, as so many of our ships are in America. Instructions about presents will be sent soon. Sir Cyril Wich will be in St Petersburg by Michaelmas. [29 Sept.]. Dated Hanover, 9 Aug 1741.
