Folio 85: Whitworth to Harley. Letters not received from Germany, but reports arrived from the army in Poland. Czar's and nobles' intentions to return to the Council at Lublin. Reports from Shapfiroff of negotiations with Sweden and the Empire; king of Sweden's resulting withdrawal of his envoys from Vienna. Shapfiroff awaits a resolution on the merchants' affairs. Description of the trade in hides and the Czar's manipulation of it. Request for appeal to be made to the Russian envoy in England for intervention on behalf of the merchants. Dated Moscow, 14/25 May 1707.
