Japan: Shimonoseki. 'Simonoseki. Sketch of the attack on the Japanese stockaded barrack, captured on the 6th Septr 1864'. Scale: 1 inch to 250 yards. Signed by Lieutenant J H Crowdy, Royal Engineers, 9 September 1864. This copy made and stamped at the Topographical Department, War Office, 23 November 1864. Annotated in red ink: 'Enclosure No 16 in China letter No 354 of 1864'.
