Description

H.M.S. Charon, off Staten Island. Arbuthnot to Capt. Symonds of H.M.S. Charon. Orders to support Brig. Gen. Arnold's expedition against the rebels in Virginia: convoy transports to Chesapeake Bay, intercept the convoy under Paul Jones off the Virginia Capes; certain ships are to remain in the Chesapeake. Copy.
