Manuscript prize appeal No 568, from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Monserrat [or Jamaica], filed in 1800.
Captured ship: Gustavia (master Raapzaat).
Nationality: Swedish.
History: bound from St Bartholomew to Guadeloupe, laden with dry goods and empty bags; taken on 22 November 1799 by HMS Bittern (Edward Kittoe commanding), and brought into Montserrat [or Kingston, Jamaica].

Appellant: Alert Ebbens merchant of St Bartholomew for sundry cargo on behalf of himself and Claudius Francis Terrasse merchants and co-partners in the firm Terrasse Pere and Ebbens.
Respondent: the captor.
