Humphrey Barwick v. William Tennand and others. Alleged waste and spoil in the queen's woods, in the lordship of Sutton, by Humphrey Barwick, uncle of the plaintiff, now deceased. Stating that at the time of his first coming to the said lordship there were no demesne lands there, and that the tenants allotted to him a parcel of land called Greenecarr, for the term of 21 years (now expired), upon the promise that he would grant them new leases upon reasonable fines, and notwithstanding, the fines charged upon them are exorbitant. Houses pulled down by the said Barwick, and lands taken from the tenants and enclosed. Yorks.
