Attorney general v. Robert Mawdesley, Richard Nelson, Thomas Astley and others. The verdict of a jury empanelled to enquire what lands, tenements, goods and chattels belonged to William Garstange of Preston, recusant. A burgage in Preston, leased by JohnForshawe to the said Garstange, and alleged to have been assigned by him to Cicely Breers, his mother, after he had been indicted for recusancy. Why the said burgage and other things had not been presented by the jury (the defendants)? Lancs.
