Description

The dean and chapter of the cathedral of the Holy Trinity, Gloucester, v. John Morse, Thomas Shewryng and others. A parcel of ground in Santhurst Meade called Kynges Meade (or Ryveneaux Meade), held upon lease by Robert Wheler, from the plaintiffs. A lease thereof and of another acre of ground in the same meadow, (dated 25 Mar 28 Hen VIII), said to have been made by the abbot of St Peter's in Gloucester to John Pierce, the younger. Whether it is in the manor of Kynges Barton, and whether "taske" is paid to the officers of that manor? Whether it is exempt from the payment of tithes? Distress levied upon it by the churchwardens of Santhurst. Mentioning the manor of Ablode. Glos.
