Defeasance to a Statute Staple bond from William Vampage, esquire, to Thomas Brygge, gentleman, and Reynold Asshe, citizen and mercer of London, for 400l. The bond is to be void if William Catesby and Richard Wallbyn [Walwyn] recover against the said William Vampage, by a writ of right, the manor of Wyke and lands, etc., in Wyke, Pyndesyn, Pedull, Pepulton, and Castell Moreton (the said William Vampage being at the time of the recovery seised of the premises in tail, by the gift, etc., of Richard Chok, knight, one of the justices of the Common Bench, to his father John Vampage), and then enfeoff the said Thomas Brygge and Reynold Asshe, without any interruption, etc., on the part of the said William Vampage. 12 June, 15 Edward IV.
