Indenture by which John Sundy, Clarice his wife, and Thomas their son, agree to indemnify Master Thomas de Esthalle against all actions brought by Ralph Loveday, lord of Mongewell, with respect to the services, etc., due on account of a certain yearly rent issuing out of a tenement called 'la Grey hone' in Mongewell. The said Ralph had granted the said rent to John Sundy, and had afterwards assigned the said tenement to Master Thomas de Esthall, brother of Robert de Esthall the tenant, reserving the homage, etc., for a certain period. Doubts had arisen as to the services due from the said Master Thomas to the said John Sundy, such services being dependent upon the homage. 'La Greyhone,' Sunday after the Close of Easter, 16 Edward II. [Oxfordshire]
