Subject: To obtain a recompence to plaintiff for his pains in obtaining for defendant a new grant from the Duchy of Lancaster of a chantry of the foundation of Thomas Butler at the altar of St Katherine in the church of St Michael upon Wie [St Michael's on Wyre], and the lands thereto belonging, and also of the chantry of the altar of the Crucifix in the parish church of Croston, Lancashire, and the lands thereto belonging.
