Subject: The suit respects a promise made to plaintiff by Robert Sotherbie esq, upon plaintiff's settling on the daughter of said Robert Sotherbie, for her jointure, his manor or capital messuage called Oglethorpe, and lands in Oglethorpe, Yorkshire, for which the said Robert Sotherbie promised to make plaintiff an equivalent.
