Description

Short title: Rydge v Elliott.

Plaintiffs: John Rydge, clerk, Elizabeth Pratt, his daughter, and William Pratt of Bobbington, in Stafford, yeoman, her husband.

Defendants: Humphrey Elliott, gent, William Elliott, gent, Edward Hincks, yeoman, Samuel Hill, Richard White of Claverley, blacksmith, William Hardwicke, Richard Soley, labourer, Margaret Soley his wife, Edward Tymmyns of London, yeoman, and others.

Subject: Mumming at Claverley and elsewhere in slander of the said Elizabeth Pratt to force her into marriage with the first-named defendant Humphrey Elliott, and false affidavit of a pre-contract.

Shropshire.
