Plaintiffs: James Rolfe, esq, commissary to the bishop of Lincoln, and official to the archdeacon of Huntingdon.
Defendants: Henry Frowyke, gent, JP, steward of St Albans, William Cade, gent of King's Langley, and John Ellys, attorney in the court of St Albans.
Subject: Attempt to deter plaintiff James Rolfe from giving evidence in libel action by attacking him for taking unjust fees, speaking against the established order of the church, examining a cause ot tithe in the said court, extortion, and other misconduct in office.
