Original letters patent appointing Surveyor General and Commissioners of Woods, Forests, etc., Keepers of Walks in various forests, etc., including the patent of the commissioners appointed to examine and report upon plans submitted for the rebuilding of the Palace of Westminster in 1842.

The documents are on parchment, with the Great Seals (often damaged) appended, and most remain in their original wooden boxes.
