Five documents concerning the magistrate of Wolverhampton:

Letter from the ratepayers of the hundreds of Seisdon to Earl Talbot, Lord Lieutenant of the County of Stafford, regarding the appointment of a stipendiary magistrate for the parishes of Wolverhampton, Barlaston, Kingswinford, Rowley Regis, Sedgley and Tipton; a letter to George Grey from Earl Talbot at Ingestre, regarding the Wolverhampton Stipendiary Justice Bill; a draft of a letter to Talbot from GG [George Grey] regarding the appointment of the stipendiary magistrate; a letter to George Grey from John Leigh, Stipendiary Magistrate of Wolverhampton, regarding continuing his jurisdiction in case Wolverhampton should become incorporated under the Municipal Corporations Act; a letter from Leigh recommending the appointment of an additional stipendiary magistrate for the district.
