Description

Davis to Ch'eng Yü-ts'ai. Will find out who were the foreigners who roamed around Shun-te. Regards matter not serious on the ground that there were no incidents. Chinese pirates have plundered a Hong Kong vessel carrying 12,000 silver dollars of colonialsalary, killing four British soldiers on board.
