A letter sent from the Emperor [Jiaqing or Chia Ch'ing] of China, to the Prince Regent (afterwards King George IV), complaining about the conduct of Lord Amherst, 11 September 1816. Decorative border of imperial dragons. 3 copies of the text, in Manchu, Latin and Chinese, are written on the same sheet, with an ink seal by each one. An English translation remains at FO 93/23/1A.
