Description

Essex: Harwich. Three copies of a map of the town, showing the extent of erosion of the cliffs by the sea between 1709 and 1752. Reference table to each item. Scale: 1 inch to 100 feet. Compass indicators to each item. Item (1) [the original] dated 1752; items (2-3) are later copies, item (3) by [?Nathaniel] Coltman, [?]27 October 1778. Each sheet is endorsed with the name of Captain Justly Watson.
