Signed by Samual Smith, temporary Foreman of Works, 17 July 1845; and Lieutenant Colonel H J Savage, Commanding Royal Engineer, 18 July 1845. Originally accompanying a report from Colonel G G Lews, Commanding Royal Engineer, Ireland, to the Inspector General of Fortifications, 25 July 1845; the report is not preserved on this roll.
