Description

Parties: John Gibbons of London, esq. Charles Harbord, esq., Surveyor General, and Thomas Brinley esq., Auditor of the Revenues on behalf of the King. Place or Subject: Assignment of a contract made 27 Dec 4 Charles I between the King and Sir Cornelius Vermayden, whereby the latter was granted a two-third share in lands to be drained, belonging to the manors of Epworth, Belton, Haxey, Crowle, Misterton, Greenly, [?Gringley co. Notts.], Snaith, Cowick and Rawcliffe in cos. Yorks., Notts., and Lincs., as security for the payment of 3000 l., part of a fine of 8000 l. imposed on Gibbons and Stephen Wayner. Yorks., Notts., Lincs.
