Indenture between Robert Gavell of Ewell, Surrey, gentleman, on the one part, and John Sutton and Edward Fayercloughe, citizens and merchants of London, concerning the contract of marriage between Robert Gavell and Dorothy Bigley, daughter of George Bigley, late of Cobham, Surrey, gentleman, deceased, that if the marriage takes place before 29 September 1559, Robert Gavell will grant to John Sutton and Edward Fayercloughe, in fee simple, lands, messuages, tenements, meadows, leases, pastures and other hereditaments in Surrey and Kent of the yearly value of £40, to the use of Robert and Dorothy for the term of their lives, and after their decease to the use of the heirs of Robert Gavell. Witnesses: John Coltehirste and Thomas Brend senior.
