County: Lincolnshire, Lindsey; Hampshire; Hertfordshire, Leicestershire; Lincolnshire and Oxfordshire Grant descriptions and dates: two ninths and fifteenths and tax on wool granted by Parliament 1340 April 3 and poll tax granted by Parliament c. 1377 Feb 16 x 19 Document description: Inquisitions and receipt, file of 250 mems. Includes names of individuals. This largely illegible file contains inquisitions taken in the parishes of the various deaneries of Lindsey into the true value of the ninth of 1340. There are a number of strays in this file. These include inquisitions into the true value of the ninth in Botley, Hampshire (m 231); Bloxham, Oxfordshire (m 216); Letchworth, Hertfordshire (m 198); and Shackerstone and Holegate Ward in Leicestershire (mm 113, 118).
In addition, m 58 is a receipt from the collectors in Lindsey for the poll tax of 1377 relating to the vill of Normanby.
