Description

Books and papers relating to three French ships: the Iris (Captain Pinatel); Pintade (Captain Simon); and Carnate (Captain Le Loup de Beaulieu).

For the ship Iris: 14 books relating principally to the ship's coffee trading activities (expenses, purchases, receipts etc) but also including letterbooks and a volume on geometry and navigation.

For the Pintade: account/expenses book.

For the Carnate: two books of expenses, with the captain's instructions and a list of papers on board the ship.
