Description

1 item (originally an enclosure to War Office letter, 29 April 1887) extracted from CO 67/50. Cyprus. '4 Inch Plan Troodos showing... ground proposed to be reserved for the use of the War Dept': map, also showing roads, waterways, woodland, principal buildings, place names, spot heights. Key to the site reserved for 4 civilian families (as alluded to in a High Commissioner's minute, 6 October 1886), the site of Colonel Hackett's camp, and the sanitorium. Compass indicator. Traced by R G Borland, 2 April 1886. Signed: Major James R M Chard [Royal Engineers], 20 January 1886; tracing signed: Captain S C N Grant, Royal Engineers, Survey Director.
