1 item extracted from E 134/39Eliz/East14. Map of the Isle of Axholme (now in Humberside), from Walkeringham to Owston and from Wroot to Kelfield. Shows the lordships of Haxey, Misterton, Stockwith, Gunthorpe and Owston. Also shows towns; the rivers Trent, Idle and Eau, tributaries and bridges; named fields and woods; windmills; and the boundary between Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. Border. Scale bar surmounted by dividers: 1 inch to 2 furlongs (4 miles). Cardinal points: oriented to the north. Made by Christopher Saxton, to illustrate his depositions (membrane 9 of E 134/39Eliz/East14) in a dispute between the crown tenants in Haxey and Owston (Lincolnshire) and the crown tenants in Misterton (Nottinghamshire), over the county boundary.
