Austria: Vienna. 8 sheets of notes and drawings relating to the British Embassy building. (1) Wrapper. (2) and (4) lists; (3) 'Sketch of the part of the Rossamovsky House & Gardens for which the British Embassy are in treaty'. MS, coloured. No scale shown. (5) Map showing the situation of the land and building to be acquired for new British Embassy building. Printed, with MS additions. Scale: 6 cm to 9 Viennese Klafter [1:285]. (6)-(8) Plans of ground, mezzanine and first floors, detailing proposed conversions. Pen and ink, with notes in pencil. No scale shown. Originally enclosed in Sir A Buchanan's despatch of 25 April 1872; subsequently forwarded by the Foreign Office to the Treasury on 1 May 1872.
