7 items extracted from CO 96/629. 7 copies of base map 'Map of the Gold Coast [now Ghana] including the British Mandate of Togoland [now Togo]'. Reference table to roads, railways, telegraphs and boundaries. War Office, July 1911. Additions and corrections 1921. MS additions on each copy provide social and economic information as follows. (1) 'Existing transportation and cost per ton to the shore'. (2) 'Approximate density of cocoa'. (3) 'Approximate density of oil palms and Shea Nut Trees'. (4) 'Approximate distribution of various products'; these products are tobacco, guinea corn, maize, millet, rice, ground nuts, kola, sisal, bauxite, gold, yams, corn, coco-nuts, manganese, sugar cane and sisal hemp. (5) 'Approximate density of timber and cattle'. (6) 'Approximate density of the population 1921 census'. (7) 'Proposed transportation Gold Coast.' MS reference tables to each map.
