2 items extracted from CO 87/2. (1) 'The entrance of the River Casamanza [now Casamance, in Senegal] by Commander T. Boteler 1829'. Notes on navigation and survey. Scale: 1 inch to about 1.25 miles. Compass indicator. (2) 'The Rivers Gambia [in The Gambia] and Casamanza [now Casamance, in Senegal] by Captain T. Boteler, R.N. 1829'. The map shows estuaries, soundings, positions of mud or sand banks and place names and includes the coast between the two rivers. Lines of latitude and longitude given; longitude measured from Bathurst (now Banjul, The Gambia). Dimensions: (1) 26 cm x 33 cm; (2) 35 cm x 31 cm.
