1 item (enclosure to Lieutenant-Governor Clarke's letter of 24 May 1739) extracted from CO 5/1059 (f 103) 'A Map of the Countrey of The Five Nations belonging to the Province of New York and of the Lakes near which the Nations of Far Indians live within part of Canada & River St. Lawrence.' The map bears a note about the Tuscaroras and the Necariages, considered as Sixth and Seventh Nations and refers to a meeting at Albany on 30 May 1723. Compass star. On the back, a note on a French fort on Lake Champlain and a river flowing from the south into Lake Ontario, both shown as MS. additions.
