Map of part of northern shore of Lake Ontario between Rice Lake and Great West Bay [Bay of Quinté] showing carrying places, falls on River Trent and a salt spring. Remarks on road-building at carrying places and on salt spring. Compass indicator. [By John Collins, Deputy Surveyor General.] The map accompanied Collins's account of 'Proceedings on my route from Kingston to Lake Huron', 27-29 July, 1785, which remains in CO 42/316.
