Fragments of a map showing an engagement between rebels who had taken the fort at Ningpo and British, French and Imperialist troops, 10 May 1862; soundings in the river are marked. Key (partly missing) to the positions of HMS Ringdove, HM gunboats Kestrel and Hardy, and French gunboats Etoile and Confucius at various times during the day.
