Enclosure award and map of Bewerley and Hardcastle Moor (in the parish of Ripon), West Riding of Yorkshire. Map covers the enclosed area only (3020 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows lakes or ponds, named river, public spring, public watering place, woods, named roads, road widths, church, field boundary ownership, some named landowners, relief (shown by rock drawing). Industrial land-use: smelt mill. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains (derived from the construction lines). Construction lines shown, with chainages. Map certified for accuracy, 14 April 1858. Valuer: James Powell, Harrogate, Yorkshire, Land Surveyor
