Enclosure award and map of Troughend (township in the parish of Elsdon), Northumberland. Includes Rattenraw or Brownrig (or Brownrigg) Common. Map covers the enclosed area only (1100 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows named river, spring, sheepfolds, boundary stones and posts, field boundary ownership, relief (shown by rock drawing). Scale: 1:2,500. Construction lines shown, with chainages. Map certified for accuracy, 28 September 1870. Valuer: Thomas Sample, Matfen, Stamfordham, Northumberland, Land Surveyor
