Enclosure award and map of Little Hormead and Layston (parishes), Hertfordshire. Map covers the enclosed area only (352 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows lakes or ponds, woods, named commons, footpaths or bridleways, stopped-up paths, fence lengths, field boundary ownership. Enclosure numbers are in Roman numerals and tithe numbers are in Arabic numbers. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Map certified for accuracy, 8 December 1864. Valuer: Charles Frederick Adams, Barkway, Hertfordshire, Land Surveyor
