Enclosure award and map of Bowness [Bowness-on-Solway] (parish), Cumberland. Includes Whitrigg Marsh. Map covers the enclosed area only (271.969 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows named river (with direction of flow), high water mark ordinary tides, ferry boat (pictorial), field boundary ownership, some named landowners, named enclosure allottees. With border. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Map certified for accuracy, 30 August 1850. Valuer: Pattinson Lawson, Bowness Hall, Bowness, Cumberland, Land Surveyor. Dimensions of map: 125 cm x 100 cm (Map comprises two pieces of paper fitted together at an angle)
