Enclosure award and map of Ponsonby (manor and township in the parish of Ponsonby), Cumberland. Also includes Kirkland Moor, Pikehow Moor and Infell. Map on two sheets. Map A covers the enclosed area only (100 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows named commons, named gates, field boundary ownership, some named landowners. Antiquities shown: Ancient Camp (dotted lines indicate earthworks). Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Construction lines shown. Map certified for accuracy, 16 August 1853. Map B covers the enclosed area and some other land (900 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows named river (with direction of flow), named commons, parsonage, named buildings.
