Map shows towns, villages, rivers, roads. Notes about the islands. Reference table to population. Scale: 3 inches to 20 miles. 3 Insets: 'Map of the Maltese Islands from actual survey', scale: 2.5 inches to 5 miles. Gives latitude and longitude of Valletta. Inset map of Europe and Asia Minor, showing travelling routes from London to Bombay by Gibraltar, France and Germany. Reference table to routes to Bombay. Scale: 1.25 inches to 300 miles. Inset map of Cerigo. Published by J Arrowsmith, Soho Square, London, 8 August 1844. (2) Another edition, published 8 August 1858. (3) Another edition, published by Edward Stanford, Charing Cross. No date is given; but population figures for Malta are those of 1871. Dimensions: (1) 50 cm x 61 cm.
