Description

'Sir John Franklin's map of Arctic Discoveries between Baffin Bay and Cape Bathurst, combined with those of Sir Edward Parry in 1819, and the several searching expeditions, concluding with that of Sir John Francis L. McClintock in 1859. Constructed by John Arrowsmith'. Scale: 1 inch to about 46 miles. Shows routes of exploring parties with notes and dates of their discoveries. Explanatory notes on Franklin's expedition. Inset: Bellot Strait by Captain Allen Young. Published by J Arrowsmith, 10 Soho Square, London, 17 January 1860.
