Description

Short title: Wheely v Giffard.

Plaintiff(s): John Wheely, the younger.

Defendant(s): Hope Giffard and his wife Martha.

Subject of depositions: Castle of Colchester and the field whereon the said castle stands, and various "lean tos" and buildings erected by John Bull, Mr Hickeringill, clerk, and Thomas Wells. Touching a lease of said field made by Robert Northfolke, esq, to the plaintiff, and a "demise" of part thereof by plaintiff to Edmund Hickeringill, clerk, and Thomas Hickeringill.

County/place: Essex.

Date of commission: 28 November 1693.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 8 January 1694 at Colchester.
