Description

Short title: Warner v Attorney General.

Plaintiff(s): Edmond Warner, of Parham (Suffolk), William Lea.

Defendant(s): Sir John Somers, kt (Her Majesty's Attorney General), Peregrine Bertie, John Greathead.

Subject of depositions: "A pitt whence is dug a sort of clay fit and proper to make white or painted earthern ware" and the transmission "by the plt. of a quantity of said clay from a place called Boyton, near Aldeburgh Haven, in Suffolk, to Rotterdam, or Delfe, or elsewhere in Holland, under the dominion of the States General of the United Provinces." Whether said clay was reputed potter's clay? Touching the potter's trade in Holland and the supply, of potter's clay from England in time of peace and in time of war, and sent from Yarmouth (Norfolk). Sale or disposal of said clay. If any was used in the fulling trade or in the fulling of cloth. Value of said clay sold in Holland as fuller's earth, or in the fulling of cloaths.
