Description

Short title: Woods v Ward.

Plaintiff(s): Richard Woods and his wife Ellen, and others.

Defendant(s): Thomas Ward, D.D.

Subject of depositions: Estate of Oliver Lathom, of Widnes (Lancashire), late brother of plaintiff Ellen, including a messuage, in Billinge (Lancashire). [The names, of John Lathom, Peter Lathom, Frances (defendant Ward's late wife), brothers and sister of said Oliver of the whole blood, and Roger Grimshaw and Ellen (plaintiff's wife above named), brother and sister of said Oliver of the half blood by the mother's side, and George Lathom and his wife Elizabeth (plaintiff's late father and mother) are mentioned].

County/place: Lancashire.

Date of commission: 15 June 1692.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 10 October 1692 at Wigan.
