Description

Short title: Halford v Deanes.

Plaintiff(s): Charles Halford and his wife Frances.

Defendant(s): John Deanes, Lawrence Barnes.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Spalding (Lincolnshire). Touching right and title to the tolls or profits of markets and fairs in Spalding, "and for carrying of goods and merchandizes either by land or water toand from the same "; lately belonging to Daniel Wigmore, deceased (late father of plaintiff Frances). [The estates of the late Queen Dowager Catherine, and of the late Queen Mother Henrietta Maria, in said manor, and a lease of said tolls granted by said Queen Mother to Pearcy Church, esq. and the names of Matthew Massam, John Woods, Richard Taverner, and John Hutchins, farmers or collectors of said tolls are mentioned].

County/place: Northamptonshire; Lincolnshire.

Date of commission: 1 July 1691.
